GSRP Lead Substitute Teacher

ECE Subhub is hiring GSRP Lead Teachers. Positions range from part time to full time, Monday through Friday, with weekends and school breaks off, paid time off, and full benefits.

What you will do

As a Lead Teacher, you will plan and lead daily classroom activities and create a safe, positive, and engaging environment for children:

Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with program curriculum
Lead daily routines and transitions
Complete child observations, assessments, and documentation
Guide and support other classroom staff
Build positive relationships with children and families

Qualifications

If you hold an early childhood teaching certificate or a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, you likely qualify. The specifics are below.

Per the GSRP Implementation Manual, candidates must meet at least one of the following:

A valid Michigan Elementary teaching certificate with an Early Childhood Education (ZA) or Early Childhood–General and Special Education (ZS) endorsement, a Birth–Kindergarten endorsement, or a PK–3 endorsement; or
A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, with the transcript showing this as a major (not a minor), and a specialization in preschool teaching.

Preferred: CPR Adult and Pediatric Certification. If you are not currently certified, we will provide certification.

Job Details

Job Type: Part time or full time
Hours: 7:30 am to 4:30 pm
Dates: Follows the school calendar, typically late summer through June
Schedule: Monday through Friday, daytime hours
Hourly rate: $20 to $23 per hour

We try to place you as close to home as possible, but the general expectation is that our subs can travel up to 30 minutes for an assignment when needed. How far are you willing to travel?*

This is a physically active position. Substitutes are regularly expected to:

Lift and carry up to 30 pounds from the floor to a waist-high surface, roughly 10 times per day
Bend, kneel, and sit on the floor to work at a child's level
Move quickly across a classroom or playground to reach a child
