GSRP Lead Teacher - Ann Arbor

ECE Subhub is hiring a full-time GSRP Lead Teacher in the Ann Arbor area. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to lead their own classroom and build long-term experience in early childhood education.

As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and leading daily classroom activities and creating a safe, positive, and engaging environment for children. Responsibilities may include:

  • Developing and implementing lesson plans aligned with program curriculum
  • Leading daily routines and transitions
  • Completing child observations, assessments, and documentation
  • Guiding and supporting the Associate Teacher in the classroom
  • Supervising children to keep them safe
  • Building positive relationships with children and families
  • Maintaining a warm and professional classroom presence

This position is a good fit for someone who wants consistent, full-time weekday work in one classroom and is ready to take ownership of their own classroom community.

Minimum Qualifications

Per the GSRP Implementation Manual, candidates must meet at least one of the following:

  • A valid Michigan Elementary teaching certificate with an Early Childhood Education (ZA) or Early Childhood–General and Special Education (ZS) endorsement, a Birth–Kindergarten endorsement, or a PK–3 endorsement; or
  • A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, with the transcript showing this as a major (not a minor), and a specialization in preschool teaching.

Preferred

  • CPR Adult and Pediatric Certification

Job Details

  • Location: Ann Arbor, MI
  • Job Type: Full-time, school year position.  7:30 am - 4:30 pm
  • Dates: Mid-August through June, following the school calendar
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, daytime hours
  • Hourly rate: $20-23/hour
