Associate Recruiter

Heartfelt Impressions & ECE Subhub | Lake Orion, Michigan

Early childhood classrooms can't run short-staffed. When a teacher calls off, the children still need a qualified adult in the room that day. Getting caring, qualified people in front of young kids is the work behind both of our organizations, and this role is a big part of how it happens.

About the Role

This is a full-time recruiting role shared across two Early Childhood sister companies. You'll spend most of your week with ECE Subhub (about 30 hours) and the rest with Heartfelt Impressions (about 10 hours). The recruiting work is similar across both: find good people, screen them, and guide them from application through placement.

It's a hybrid role. You'll be in our office at least half of each week, so you can stay closely connected with both teams. That in-person time matters when you're supporting two companies at once.

This is also an entry point into recruiting. You'll work closely with our HR team and learn our tools, our process, and the early childhood field. It's a good fit if you're organized, like working with people, and want room to grow.

About the Organizations

ECE Subhub is a staffing agency built for early childhood education. We place trained, vetted substitutes at childcare centers and early learning programs across Michigan. That keeps classrooms open, supports working families, and gives kids steady care.

Heartfelt Impressions Learning Centers runs early childhood learning centers across Michigan, providing childcare and early education for young children. For Heartfelt, you'll recruit teachers and classroom staff so its centers stay fully staffed with caring, qualified people.

What You'll Do

  • Source candidates through job boards, referrals, and our applicant system: substitutes for ECE Subhub and classroom staff for Heartfelt
  • Review applications and screen candidates for the right qualifications and fit
  • Run phone screens and virtual interviews
  • Keep candidate records accurate and current from first contact through placement
  • Coordinate background checks, references, and Michigan childcare clearances
  • Keep candidates informed with clear, timely updates at every step
  • Track your pipeline across both organizations and flag anything that's stalling
  • Hand off cleared candidates to onboarding and keep the process moving

What We're Looking For

  • Strong organization and follow-through. You don't let things slip
  • Comfort talking to people on the phone and in writing
  • Clear communication
  • Attention to detail, especially with records and compliance items
  • An interest in recruiting and the early childhood field
  • Ability to juggle several candidates and tasks at once across two companies

Recruiting experience is preferred but not required. We'll teach you the process. Experience in customer service, childcare, education, or any people-facing role is a plus.
